Dr Tracey Crosbie from Teesside University gave a presentation entitled ‘Introducing DR-BOB the specialist of Demand Response in Smart Cities at the International Conference on Design & Sustainable Innovation for Smart Cities’ at the International Conference on Design & Sustainable Innovation for Smart Cities in Nice, France on the 8th December 2016.
This conference featured professionals from leading research institutes and industry whhich presented key initiatives related to Energy Efficiency and Service Design for Smart Cities. In addition to live presentations, there were interactive demo sessions for participants to engage with the products and systems that presented.
In particulare the conference highlighted the successful outcomes of the CITYOPT European project, which has completed case studies demonstrating energy system optimization in 3 European cities: Helsinki, Vienna, and Nice. The CITYOPT project aimed to make our cities smarter through applications and guidelines supporting efficient planning, detailed design and operation of energy systems in urban districts.
